Brookfield is located in eastern Waukesha County on the Milwaukee County border. In 2010, Brookfield had a population of 38,770 residents who were proud to call Brookfield home.
The Brookfield Parks and Recreation department works to care for the parks in the area and provide residents with the highest quality amenities possible. There are four community parks, 7 district parks, and 16 different neighborhood parks scattered around the area. Some of the bigger parks are Mitchell Park, Rolling Meadows Park, and Mary Knoll Park. These parks offer amenities like tennis courts, ball diamonds, playground equipment, and a public beach at Fox Brook Lake. Brookfield also has two golf courses; Brookfield Hills and Westmoor Country Club. Both of these courses are great options for a sunny Saturday afternoon with some friends.
Residents also enjoy excellent shopping opportunities around the area. Brookfield Square is the main shopping mall in the area and offers tons of stores that have everything you could ever need. The mall is also surrounded by restaurants where you can get some food after spending a day shopping. If Brookfield Square just wasn’t enough, you can also shop the stores lined up over on Bluemound Rd. There’s more restaurants over here too, especially some local favorites like Kopp’s Frozen Custard and Blaze Pizza.
Sitting on the Milwaukee County border has it’s benefits as the attractions of the big city are right at your fingertips.
