The Town of Florence is located up in the Northeastern portion of Wisconsin and is very close to the Michigan/Wisconsin border. The town has a population of 2,487 and is the County seat for Florence County.
Florence is the host of the Florence County Fair each year, which takes place towards the end of the summer. The fair brings together residents from across Florence County and showcases events such as the Garden Tractor Pull, the Mud Bog, and Horse Pull. Other events include the classic car and motorcycle show, old fashioned hands on kids games, and many different farm animals on display.
Within the town you’ll find Fisher Lake, a 50 acre lake that reaches depths of 42 feet. Around the lake is access to a public boat launch, which means you’ll be able to fish and boat to your heart’s content. In Fisher Lake you will find Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Trout. Fisher Lake also has a public beach where visitors can relax and take a dip in the lake.
